Abstract

The validity of the Late Cretaceous planktonic foraminiferal species Globotruncana renzi Gandolfi, and the relationship between this species and Globotruncana angusti-carinata Gandolfi, are discussed. It is suggested that G. renzi be dropped since it is a junior synonym of G. angusticarinata.
